This page is dedicated to focusing on why things are the way they are now. Events of this day and age reflect the fact that the world as we know it is coming to an end. Jesus warns us of events that will take place in rapid succession in the days before His Second Coming.

• Matthew 24:4-5: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many”. Just glances through news stories of recent history, we see this fulfilled by individuals like Jim Jones, Sung Yung Moon, David Koresh, Marshall Applewhite and Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda all claiming to be Jesus Christ or His divinity.

• Matthew 24:6-7: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.”

• Matthew 24:7: “famines”

• Matthew 24:7: “earthquakes in various places”

• Luke 21:11: “pestilences (diseases) in various places”

• Matthew 24:9-12: “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

• Matthew 24:13: “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved” (see also 2 Timothy 3:1-4).
