In 1933, a document named the "Humanist Manifesto" was signed. "The Manifesto is a product of many minds. It was designed to represent a developing point of view, not a new creed. The individuals whose signatures appear would, had they been writing individual statements, have stated the propositions in differing terms. The importance of the document is that more than thirty men have come to general agreement on matters of final concern and that these men are undoubtedly representative of a large number who are forging a new philosophy out of the materials of the modern world. -- Raymond B. Bragg (1933).
"The time has come for widespread recognition of the radical changes in religious beliefs throughout the modern world. The time is past for mere revision of traditional attitudes. Science and economic change have disrupted the old beliefs. Religions the world over are under the necessity of coming to terms with new conditions created by a vastly increased knowledge and experience. In every field of human activity, the vital movement is now in the direction of a candid and explicit humanism. In order that religious humanism may be better understood we, the undersigned, desire to make certain affirmations which we believe the facts of our contemporary life demonstrate."
Humanism - Philosophy. a variety of ethical theory and practice that emphasizes reason, scientific inquiry, and human fulfillment in the natural world and often rejects the importance of belief in God.
Humanism comes in many forms.
The type of humanism that specifically attacks the Word of God is Secular Humanism. "Secular Humanism is an outgrowth of 18th century enlightenment rationalism and 19th century freethought. Many secular groups, such as the Council for Democratic and Secular Humanism and the American Rationalist Federation, and many otherwise unaffiliated academic philosophers and scientists, advocate this philosophy."
These teachings are all influenced by Satan. They are philosophies that would be spread throughout Western civilization for virtually all of the 20th century. They teach everyone, from the time of birth, that there is no God, the Creator and that reason is all the light that men need. "The Secular Humanist tradition is a tradition of defiance, a tradition that dates back to ancient Greece. One can see, even in Greek mythology, Humanist themes that are rarely, if ever, manifested in the mythologies of other cultures. And they certainly have not been repeated by modern religions. The best example here is the character Prometheus.
Prometheus stands out because he was idolized by ancient Greeks as the one who defied Zeus. He stole the fire of the gods and brought it down to earth. For this he was punished. And yet he continued his defiance amid his tortures. This is the root of the Humanist challenge to authority.
The next time we see a truly heroic Promethean character in mythology it is Lucifer in John Milton's Paradise Lost. But now he is the Devil. He is evil. Whoever would defy God must be wickedness personified. That seems to be a given of traditional religion. But the ancient Greeks didn't agree. To them, Zeus, for all his power, could still be mistaken."
All of this stems from Satan himself. In the book of Genesis, chapter 3, we see a dialog between Eve and Satan. "While under possession by the spirit of evil, a serpent cunningly approached Eve and asked, 'Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? (Genesis 3:1, NIV). Eve correctly recited God’s instructions by stating, 'We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” (verse 2, 3, NIV). Then came the first lie any human would ever hear; a lie that has been perpetuated through the ages with the false teachings of spiritualism and of the eternal soul when Satan said, “You will not surely die” (verse 4, NIV)."

The next verse lays the foundation for the teachings of Enlightenment and Reason, "'You will not surely die,' the serpent said to the woman. 'For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'" (Genesis 3:4-5, NIV). This reference to the eyes being opened is exactly what we see through the teachings of Humanism and other forms of anti-God philosophies and religions. It suggests and insists that mankind simply does not need God and refutes any truth pertaining to the Bible along with the possibility that we were created.
The reason we're living under this evil influence now, particularly in Western society, is because its teachings are embedded into our public educational systems, teaching the youngest minds to not believe in God and to have subjective views of morality. God defines morality but the Humanist's position is that this high responsibility is best done by the minds of men.
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Proverbs 28:20, KJV
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 53:1, KJV
