Why Many Don't Believe (cont.)

One of the signers of the Humanist Manifesto (I) was John Dewey. "John Dewey (October 20, 1859 – June 1, 1952) was an American philosopher, psychologist, and educational reformer whose thoughts and ideas have been highly influential in the United States and around the world. Dewey, along with Charles Sanders Peirce and William James, is recognized as one of the founders of the philosophical school of pragmatism. He is also one of the founders of functional psychology and was a leading representative of the progressive movement in U.S. schooling during the first half of the 20th century. "Although Dewey is best known for his works on education, he also wrote on a wide range of subjects, including experience and nature, art and experience, logic and inquiry, democracy, and ethics."

Why Many Don't Believe (cont.)

John Dewey was a humanist and was every influential to the forming of our current educational system, which is designed to re-educate children from naturally believing there is a God into believing that God doesn't exist and that we're here to figure out life for ourselves. It teaches that physical strength is essential to survival and that mankind has the ability, through science and philosophy, to answer the questions we would have if we didn't have the Bible. The introduction to the teachings of evolution is only a part of this re-education. It extends into the first two years of college, where students are forced to study "humanities", which is merely just another form of humanism. This process seeks to de-program any thoughts or beliefs of a Creator and indirectly deflects worship to Satan that would have otherwise have gone to God. These forms of worship are subtle. They include Eastern practices of Yoga and meditation, studies of astrology including horoscopes, spiritualism, the occult, idolatry or simply the worship of mankind. Its purpose is to replace Christianity and for millions, it has done just that. Additionally, it has led unsuspecting Christians into losing the faith they once had because these false teachings appear to be so "rational" or "logical". Proverbs 2:6 says, "For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding" (NIV). Regardless of what men have conjured up through scientific experiments and by what they tell us about things they've found, no other source has been able to prove with more accuracy and reliability than the Bible. The reason for this is because the thoughts of the writers were all inspired by the same Holy Spirit, giving them somewhat of a singular consciousness that enabled the Bible to be written in perfect harmony over a period spanning several centuries by men who, in most cases, had never met each other. The prophecies of Daniel and Revelation lay the foundation of what we've witnessed in history, giving us clear evidence that continues to be trustworthy. God tells us in Amos 3:7 that, "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets" (NIV). God doesn't want us walking around aimlessly, trying to figure out why we're here and where we're going. He tells us in His Word. Satan knows this and will continue to do all he can to disrupt God's plan of salvation that is revealed in the Bible. When Christ died on the cross, Satan lost any access he had remaining to heaven (for examples of Satan in heaven, please see Job 1 & 2). More importantly, when that time came, he also realized that his time was running out along with the time he would have available to "make war" with God's people and prevent them from sharing in God's kingdom. Over the centuries, he used the power of imperial Rome, followed by the papacy and now, he's using atheism in the form of secular humanism and he's using our educational system to do it. However, God's Word will ultimately overthrow and defeat the spread of these teachings in due time. Revelation 17 teaches us that another kingdom will follow the one that "is" currently. This next kingdom, the United States of America, at the urging and lobbying of Protestant religions, will take the lead after enacting laws that directly challenge the Word of God and will deliver the final blow in Satan's war against God's people. These laws will set up the image to the first beast of Revelation 13 (the papacy) and will force everyone on the earth to receive the "mark of the beast". The purpose of these laws will be to put an end to immorality and shameful conduct, and will be the attempted solution to end the economic downturn that is affecting the entire world. This is similar to the end of the "Reign of Terror" in France, where after the three and a half years, Bibles were allowed once more to stem the tide of gross misconduct that was taking place during that awful time. The problem is that, although these laws will be influenced by religious politicians, the form of Christianity that will reign is the reunification of all Sunday-keeping Protestant religions with the Roman Catholic Church. This is the "eighth king" who "belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction" (Revelation 17:11). Recall that the Rock that strikes the statue in Nebucadnezzar's dream struck the statue on the feet, in the ten toes. This represents the final act in the cosmic drama, when God the Son, Jesus Christ, comes to establish His eternal kingdom and dethrones, once and for all, Satan and all of his false systems of religion and worship, including astrology and Catholicism.
