This understanding makes studying the Bible of the highest priority in our lives. It's the only book that reveals the plan of God to us. It warns of Satan's plan to distract us from recognizing, acknowledging or remaining faithful to that plan. Satan's doctrines teach us that God's Law is no longer valid, which is a teaching that has infiltrated its way into Christianity to where most Protestants agree by their acceptance to the papacy's tradition of Sunday worship. However if we diligently study prophecy and history, we can see that God is seeking earnestly to reveal Himself to us. Revelation 1:1 tells us that the book is the revealing of Jesus Christ "to show his servants what must soon take place" (NIV). God wants us to know what He's going to do so that we can be prepared. If we follow His Word and His Law, we will live in peace both now and for all eternity. Satan's teachings tell us that Christ is not coming back because they deny the existence of Christ (although, ironically, Satan believes in Him more than anyone else). They teach us that we can find peace within ourselves.

For every good thing God established, Satan has a counterfeit. God instituted the seventh-day Sabbath; Satan instituted Sunday worship. God instituted marriage between a man and a woman; Satan instituted and continues to promote gay marriage as a direct contradiction to God's authority and plan when He created our first parents, Adam and Eve. God gave us the earth to enjoy however Satan teaches us to misuse and abuse it for personal gain, selfishness, materialism and wealth.

Most of this began in the "time of the end". In Daniel 12:4, Daniel is given instruction to "close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge" (NIV). No one can deny the explosion in technology since 1844. From then to now (only 165 years), we've gone from single horsepower to propelling rockets into space and placing items on other planets. The primary application to this text is that in these end times, people would increase knowledge by their going "here and there" in the word of God, using history in the last days to understand the Bible prophecies of old. The vast increase in knowledge has done more to bring about distractions to serving God than it has to improve morality. Mankind has been around for thousands of years, but it's not until now that we've become so "advanced". It's my belief that this rapid advance in technology and science is the work of Satan, using the mediums of Hollywood, the music industry, pop culture and secular education to spread his anti-God teachings to the entire world.

God tells us in Hebrews 8:10 tells us that God writes His laws in our hearts and minds and that every man will know God. We all have the natural desire to have a relationship with God, however Satan uses his evil influence to redirect that inclination. Not only does he saturate our society with things that are counter to God so that, as adults, we begin to think differently or take on a "pluralistic" approach to our faith, he is attacking our children to raise them into free thinkers as well. We must do everything possible to repel this assault by continuing to stand in defense of God's Word through the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us to put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6) to combat Satan's evil forces. Without the Bible as our guide, we will fall victim to these attacks. If we don't know the truth, we may fall for any and every thing. As history has testified, the only reliable source of truth is the Holy Bible, written by the Holy Spirit working in the minds of those God called to document His testimony.

Friends, the only way this is possible is if we trust and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died so that we could have the power to defeat Satan as He did. Along with this faith, we should endeavor to remain in an abiding relationship
with Jesus Christ, daily renewing our commitment to serving Him and learning about Him through study of His word. With this relationship, our growth in Him should create a desire to stand apart from the influences of Satan within this world.

Where does your relationship stand with Christ today? Have you accepted Him into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior? Do you find yourself believing some of Satan's lies that challenge faith or belief in God? Have you turned your back on God and recognize that it’s because of Satan's vicious attacks on God's Word? The good news is that it is not too late to establish or reestablish your relationship with Christ. He stands in heaven now, with an outstretched hand, calling you to take hold of Him to deliver you from the bondages of sin that Satan has employed on this earth. Receive Him into your heart today and experience a "peace that surpasses all understanding" (Philippians 4:7). You will feel the burden of trying to believe something (evolution) that men call theory but have no way to prove it, disqualifying it as a theory to begin with, lifted off your shoulders. You'll begin to recognize the voice that's been calling you all along as the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Life will take on new meaning as you come to understand your purpose in life...to serve your Creator to some day experience the fullness of the benefits of a life obedient to Him.
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, NIV
